Luke Bryan Meets Post Malone After Attending His Nashville Concert: "What A Show. Totally Blew My Mind" (2024)

Luke Bryan got to be a fan for a night on Sunday evening (Oct. 16) when Post Malone brought his Twelve Carat Toothache Tour to Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

One day after the concert, the “Country On” singer took to social media to share photos of himself with Post Malone as the pair of superstars had the opportunity to meet backstage after the concert.

The first of a series of two photos features Bryan and Malone, wearing a navy blue Hello Kitty shirt and basketball shorts, posing for a quick photo. In the second image, the two hitmakers are pictured sharing a laugh backstage in what appears to be Post Malone’s green room.

“@postmalone thanks for having me. What a show. Totally blew my mind. So fun being a fan for a night,” Bryan captioned a pair of photos.

While Luke Bryan and Post Malone may not have a history together, it seems Bryan is a big fan of Post Malone. In 2019 during American Idol, Alejandro Aranda performed Post Malone’s “I Fall Apart” and Bryan was so blown away that he was left speechless.

“I am not worthy to critique you,” Bryan told Aranda at the time as he shook his head in shock.“I don’t know if in the history of the whole show we’ve had someone like you.”

Earlier this year, Post Malone, who is an avid fan of country music, made headlines when Brad Paisley reacted to his cover of “I’m Gonna Miss Her.”

In July of 2022, Post Malone shared a clip of his cover of Paisley’s “I’m Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin’ Song,”which was filmed back in March 2021 as part ofWe’re Texasfundraiser, an event was organized by Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves McConaughey. The event was to raise funds for those affected by the winter storms that knocked out power to millions of homes, busted water pipes and left numerous people without clean water.

In the clip, which quickly went viral and amassed millions of views, Post Malone was performed the Paisley tune alongside Dwight Yoakam’s band in a studio, which he dubbed one of the “top 10 best days of my life.”

After Paisley saw the clip on TikTok, he couldn’t help but share his reaction to the cover in the comments of the TikTok post.

“This is better than me,” Paisley commented on the clip. Paisley also hilariously updated his Instagram bio to read, “I write songs for Post Malone.” Paisley previously gushed, “Always humbling when another artist does your song better than you.”

“To be honest, there’s nothing stopping me from taking a camera or setting up in my studio in Utah and just recording a country album [to put] on YouTube,” Post Malone told Stern. “I’m allowed to do that. I’m a human being.”

Stern then asked Post Malone why he hasn’t already released a country project, to which he replied “I split my time between a lot of different things because I am happily obligated to do concerts and show love to my fans … and then I’m happily obligated to write music and make beats by myself, and I’m happily obligated to, you know, take care of my family. So, it’s a lot of time, and it’s about finding that space to allot that time.”

“If I get another year to myself, maybe I’ll make a f–king country album,” the Texas native added.

Post Malone has also previously shared that he would love to sing a duet with “the king of country music” George Strait and country superstar Toby Keith.

“I put myself on country whenever I started playing guitar, I’m gonna get a rhinestone suit,” Malone previously said in several interviews. “I wanna work with George Strait, Toby Keith… there’s too many people.”
